Dever BitsNew Bits to our range: We are pleased to offer the following new bits to our ever growing range. Rubber Covered Cheltenham Gag: This is a tried & tested bit, and remains very popular. It acts by increasing poll pressure & improving control via leverage action which discourages the horse from pulling downwards. The rubber jointed mouth gives a warmer, softer feel, which some horses prefer. Sweet Iron Snaffle with a Copper Lozenge: Sweet Iron is a metal that oxidises with use and produces a "sweet" taste in the horses mouth. This can encourage salavation and acceptance of the bit. The copper lozenge reduces the nutcraker action and again gives a softer feel in the mouth. Copper Mouth Snaffle with a Copper Lozenge: A kind bit with the added advantage of being made from copper. Again this gives a warm feel in the horses mouth and encourages salavation and acceptance. Useful with youngsters. Hanging Cheek with Copper Lozenge: A new version of the very popular Hanging Cheek bit. The copper lozenge reduces the nutcracker action of the bit and gives a warm, soft feel in the horses mouth, encouraging acceptance.
